Long time no post

It's been a long time since I have posted anything on Xanga (I've deleted all of my previous posts - excluding one - as they are now quite irrelevant.)

Other than my failure to keep this page updated, nothing is new.

That is all.

P.S.  My favourite editorial cartoon of all time.  From the Globe and Mail, Tuesday, April 25, 2006.  It's funny because it's true.

2006 Blue Jays Preview

With the MLB regular season just 20 days away, I thought it would be a good idea to write down my thoughts as to the 2006 Toronto Blue Jays 25-Man Roster.  Wasting no time, here we go.

Batting Orders

vs. RHP
SS - Adams, Russ
LF - Catalanotto, Frank
CF - Wells, Vernon
3B - Glaus, Troy
1B - Overbay, Lyle
DH - Hillenbrand, Shea
C - Molina, Bengie
RF - Hinske, Eric
2B - Hill, Aaron

vs. LHP
SS - Adams, Russ
2B - Hill, Aaron
CF - Wells, Vernon
3B - Glaus, Troy
1B - Overbay, Lyle
DH - Hillenbrand, Shea
C - Monlina, Bengie
RF - Rios, Alexis
LF - Johnson, Reed

Notes:
- If back-up catcher Gregg Zaun (who is a switch-hitter) is playing, then he will be hitting in the No. 7     or 8 slot.
- Reed Johnson is also capable of hitting lead-off versus lefties, which would push Adams to the No. 2 slot, and move Hill to the No. 9 slot.

Bench/Utility

C - Zaun, Gregg
SS/2B - McDonald, John

Notes:
- Eric Hinske is as well capable filling in at 1B, 3B, and as a DH.
- Shea Hillenbrand is capable at 1B and 3B.
- Lyle Overbay can be used as a DH.
- Aaron Hill is also capable of playing SS and 3B.

Pitching Rotation

RHP - Halladay, Roy
RHP - Burnett, A.J.
LHP - Lilly, Ted
LHP - Chacin, Gustavo
RHP - Towers, Josh

Notes: There is a possibility of switching around Chacin and Towers to create better match-ups against opposing hitters.

Bullpen

LRP - Walker, Pete
LRP - Downs, Scott
MRP - Chulk, Vinnie
MRP - Speier, Justin
SU - Schoeneweis, Scott
SU - Frason, Jason
CP - Ryan, B.J.
